2 Weeks Out Until the 50K

Two weeks to go until I tackle my very first ultra marathon -  a 50K on trails! (That’s 31.5 miles… yikes! Or should that be a woo hoo! 😅)

Just seeing that number can feel a little intimidating, but somehow my newbie ultra-tude is fired up. And yeah? I’m more excited than anxious.

I’m feeling confident because I’ve put in the training, stayed committed, and I’m ready to do this. My goal? Simple: just finish. No DNFs. Fingers crossed!

What’s really amazing about this journey is what you learn about yourself when you push your limits - especially the brutal honesty that training demands. Case in point: the other day I completed a 3.5-hour run. If that wasn’t enough, the real test was showing up to do it again the next day. Physical fatigue? Oh yeah. Mental fatigue? Somehow even harder to battle.

This was my last big workout before I start tapering -  the calm before the ultra storm.
